Our History.

In 1961, Marine Wholesale opened its doors as a duty-free wholesale distributor for cruise ships and commercial shipping vessels docked in the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Diego and San Francisco.

Shortly thereafter, and into the 70’s and 80’s, Marine Wholesale became a duty-free distributor for Heineken, Becks, Anheuser-Busch, Miller Brewing Co., and Stella Artois. In 2008, Marine Wholesale acquired the sole distribution rights for all west coast cruise lines for AB InBev.

Adding to it’s extensive beer list, Marine began to acquire duty-free distribution rights to wineries around the world. Beginning first with Robert Mondavi, and then Beringer and Gallo, MWW is now distributing wines from wineries all over the world, including Argentina, Australia, California, Chile, France, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa and Spain.

And that business grew into the spirits industry, with over 5000 different SKU’s in our portfolio, including Bacardi, Beam Suntory, Brown-Foreman, and other select brands.

Eager to expand its reach and to more fully participate in the travel retail industry, Marine Wholesale began supplying these products and more, including cosmetics and specially developed and branded products, to international airline’s, and duty-free airport stores.
